Felt called to share my recent facebook post on this website---Dear friends. I am NOT a racist, misogynistic extremist. I am double vaccinated but still identify with the unvaccinated. I had a very hard time with decision to get vaccinated. I have not and will continue to resist signing onto vaccine passport as I am still completely against this mandate. I will not abandon those I care about and those I don’t even know, that have been forced to get the vaccination because of the REAL threat/bullying of losing their jobs and those that have stood their ground and even lost their jobs and have had to face the shaming, ostracization, and quick judgment that IS REAL in our society, our community, around these Personal Health Decisions. TIMES ARE CHANGING though!!
More and more people are starting to question these mandates and vaccinations . Even CTV News yesterday (Jan 6) put out a poll asking if vaccines should be mandatory!! The fact that this is surprising and exciting and hope provoking to many people validates that there has been some suppression on the voices of those that had concerns and questions around vaccines and mandates.

So now why are people getting more curious or concerned to what has been going on??? Is it because their lives are personally being affected and things aren’t as simple as “one shoe fits all” anymore? I don’t know… and I only state this question here because of my own curiousity and experiences throughout these past couple years and recently revisiting our world war 2 histories and other studies around human behaviours. Humans have done some crazy insane things!! Both good and bad. And I think it is arrogant to think that we are better than our history, if we have not taken full time commitment to healing our pasts. Hence, why the disrespect demonstrated by our country PM towards the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation was deeply upsetting to me. We must not dwell in the past but I believe that we must Honour Our Past, not deny it or make light of it, and Choose to Commit to a Path of Learning/Healing from it and Growing/Strengthening from it, even blossoming into a flower eventually It’s not an easy path but I think if we want to have more flowers on the planet we all gotta do our own inner work and engage in the outer (beyond ourselves and comforts) as well.
Anyways…obviously not all politicians and leaders promote division among the people, silence other opinions and call groups of people that have questions and concerns racist, misogynistic and extremist. However, I do want to address here that I personally remember local leaders labeling groups of people as anti-maskers and anti-vaxers, without having talked to the actual people to fully hear their concerns and questions along with having the willingness to seek out resolutions. Last year, I reached out to the health freedom groups (quickly labeled as anti- mask) and their concerns were around what has been going on now throughout our country and other countries regarding vaccine passport, health freedoms and silencing of other professional opinions and even science. It has gotten better I think among our local leaders communications but I share this because it does hit close to home. I think we have to call on the accountability of our leaders for our communities, province and country to represent or at least allow/encourage open public discussions and a sincere desire for resolutions with all people.
So all that being said…

I believe we are truly in a time of profound glorious change on our planet… not just our country. The time is now for us to truly find ways to come together and heal the wounds from long ago and more recent pasts that keep us separated and controlled through fear.
